ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
Hello, I am an ex-Army veteran who, along with my two older brothers, volunteered to serve our country during war time to fight, and if necessary, die for your Constitutional rights and freedoms.
Many have given life or limb in combat for you and me. I did not lose my life or limb, but I and all those who have and do wear the uniform, were and are willing to do so.
My wife’s cousin served a tour in Iraq a few years ago. He was a 1st Sgt in the Marine Reserves. His unit was called over to Iraq where they killed many insurgents and they lost some good Marines as well. He lost some good friends.
Those of us in uniform don’t expect much of anything in return for our service. Our hopes and desires are for you, yours, and ours to enjoy the freedoms that America has known for over 200 years. Our expectation is not reward, but that you cherish and respect the life you live that many have sacrificed theirs for.
For you to enjoy your freedom and the luxuries of life America has worked hard for all these years is our satisfaction. It is that pride and satisfaction we feel when you stand at attention to salute the flag we have honored and flown for you. It is the feeling of love and respect you show us when you smile and nod as we pass by and show us your respect and appreciation for what we have done as we spent many a sleepless night away from our own families and homes. It is the honor and valor of our comrades who have fallen in battle that you pay your respects to with tears and appreciation when Taps sounds in the air.
This is our reward. This is our pride. This is what causes us “tough as nails” “killing machines” to tear up and lose our military bearing. YOU are the reason we do it.
Today is not a normal day. This year is not a normal year. Our nation is under assault and our freedom near the edge of the cliff about to fall to its death. All that we have cherished and fought for is near being lost.
It is this reason that I write you and ask for your assistance. Under normal circumstances, I would not use such an emotional tug to make such a request, but it is that dire of a situation in our country.
Many of you have passed on many an email with encouraging, patriotic, motivating, and at times, even angry protests in the recent past. I know, because I have received many of them, and some of them a few times over around the web.
I’m asking you to pass this along with all the others. I am also asking you to send as much money as you can afford within the allowable limits to assist me in my campaign for Congress so that I can go to DC and call those traitors on Capitol Hill the traitors and cowards that they are.
For those of you who can't afford to send $2400, $1000, can and will you please invest $100?
The RINO incumbent I’m challenging and who is backed by the establishment already has over ½ million dollars in his war chest. The “anointed tea party” challenger has many a money bomb being cast his way by the Libertarian crowd. But as good as he looks and sounds, he’s not what or who I want to send to DC in 2010.
I spend my time these days working away from my family just to pay my bills. I don’t have the time to campaign for funds or the connections all the other “anointed ones” have. I only have you to come to my aid. Until I can raise enough money to campaign full-time, I am running for Congress on my spare time after work and what few days I have home.
Will you please look at my website and see if it is in line with your beliefs and desires? If so, will you send me as many dollars as you can and pass the word onto everyone you know? This may be our last chance. Our freedom will not wait for 2012.
Don’t think that everyone who receives this will chip in. Many feel the tug, but ignore or forget. Please, don’t put it off.
I will either be cast aside as a joke, or ignored as a nobody, or just maybe, you and I will make it happen.

P.S. To my military brothers and sisters still serving in uniform who may receive this or come across it, I say to you, stand firm! Hold fast! Reinforcements are on the way. Do not give up or leave your post. Do not give up or resign your commission in protest. Keep the faith and hold fast to your position and fight the fight. We will not allow you to be cast aside, forgotten, or left defenseless. Help is on the way. With God’s help (Jesus Christ), we shall restore the Republic and Freedom as our Founding Fathers passed to us. Hooah!
